THE SOFT TISSUE SYSTEM

Soft tissue provides cushioning support so that movement is increased and without pain.

Tissues often become restrictive causing inelastic muscle tightness and pain. Injury, surgery, poor posture or inflammation of soft tissues can create restrictions that produce pressure and pain upon sensitive structures.

Massage encourages increased blood flow around the treatment area to increase tissue elasticity with heat from friction.

CREATING THE SOLUTION

Clear Communication

In our session you can expect starting with a conversation to create your game plan and outline goals for your body.

Expect to feel different styles of massage used throughout our session to achieve a relaxing journey to meet your wellness goals.I will assess your body by using my hands to “ask questions” and detect restrictions, then facilitate the release of tissue.

I work with people who have or have experienced:

Arthritis

Frozen shoulder

Loss of mobility

Migraines / Headaches

Osteo Arthritis

Over use injuries

Parkinson’s

Pinched Nerves

Sciatica

Scoliosis

Neuropathy on fingers or toes

As a massage therapist I take an interest in utilizing my training in, anatomy, physiology, and pathologies.

For example, someone who drives a lot can develop shoulder and chest pain.

With my hands, I will assess the muscle tension in the upper body and devise a treatment plan.

When treating shoulder and chest pain from driving, I focus on the muscles used to raise your arms, which include the Trapezius,  Rotator cuff muscles, and Levator scapula. Using medium to deep pressure in a fixed position to release tight spots/knots and slow gliding movements to incite fluid movement through the formerly “locked” muscle.

Using clear communication to facilitate relief that factors into your larger wellness plan based on your health needs.

Hot stone Relaxation Massage

Hot stone Relaxation Massage
During a hot stone massage, smooth, heated stones are placed on specific areas of your body These stones, typically made of basalt, help relax my muscles and create a soothing warmth. The heat from the stones allows the therapist to apply deeper pressure. This massage technique not only promotes relaxation and eases stress but also aids in detoxification by stimulating your lymphatic system. Hot stone massage offers several potential benefits.

  •  Relaxes muscles deeply: The heated stones warm up and loosen tight muscles, allowing the massage therapist to reach deeper layers of muscle tissue. This helps relieve muscle tension, stiffness, and enhances flexibility.
  •  Improves blood circulation: The heat from the stones expands blood vessels, increasing blood flow throughout the body. This enhances the delivery of oxygen and nutrients to muscles and organs, promoting their health and healing. It also aids in flushing out toxins.
  •  Reduces stress and anxiety: The warmth and gentle pressure of the stones create a soothing effect, reducing stress levels and anxiety. It promotes deep relaxation and provides a comforting escape from daily pressures.
  •  Increased Flexibility: The heat from the stones can make it easier for the massage therapist to work on muscle knots and tight areas, potentially improving flexibility and range of motion.
  •  Enhanced Sleep: Many people find that a hot stone massage helps improve their sleep quality by promoting relaxation and reducing insomnia

It’s a holistic approach to wellness that leaves you feeling rejuvenated.
